Description

A one-time, full-bore open/shut-off valve for a single open-close operation in cased holes, operated by annulus pressure. Its circulating port opens after the well is closed, so it can also be used for circulation after shut-in.

Features

  • Double rupture disc structure: the first annulus pressure bursts the lower rupture disc and opens the well; the second annulus pressure bursts the upper rupture disc and closes the well, after which the circulating port opens
  • Shear pin structure ensures the valve cannot actuate early while running in
  • Opens and closes the well only once, and can be used for circulation after the well is closed
