Hydraulic Time-Delay Mechanical Anchor
Anchors the perforating string to protect it from perforating shock
Description
A perforating string anchor connected above the perforating gun, used to protect the string from perforating shock.
Features
- Hard-alloy mechanical slips provide reliable anchoring force
- Push the string down for delayed anchoring and pick up for delayed release — simple and reliable
Operation
While running in, the anchor slips are retracted. To anchor, push the string down: the slips expand and anchor against the casing wall. To release, pick up the string: the slips retract and the anchor is released.
