Safety Joint below TRUST Packer

Releases a stuck perforating gun below the packer

Back to safety joints

Description

Usually connected below the packer and above the perforating gun, this safety joint is mainly used to release a stuck perforating gun. Because it transfers torque, it can also be used in other release operations.

Features

  • The tension sleeve break value is higher than that of the TRUST safety joint above the packer, so when the string is stuck and picked up, the stuck point can be identified from the tension sleeve break value
  • The up-lift stroke after the tension sleeve breaks is longer than that of the upper TRUST safety joint, which also helps identify the stuck point
  • Simple release: break the tension sleeve, lift to the appropriate position and rotate the string to the right to release the thread

Operation

Pick up the string until the tension sleeve breaks and continue lifting to the limit position, then rotate right to release the thread and pull out the string above.
