Needle-Type Drain Valve
Recovers the fluid sample trapped between two ball valves at surface
Description
This valve is usually connected between two tools with ball valves. After the testing string is pulled out of the hole, the drain valve pipeline and sample bottle are connected to the drain adapter at the wellhead. Rotating the adapter opens the drain port, and the fluid sample trapped between the two ball valves can be transferred.
