Back to auxiliary tools

Description

The sleeve-type drain valve is used to drain fluid at the end of testing. It is usually connected between two closed ball valves and is used to transfer the fluid sample trapped between them.

Features

  • Before downhole operation, the drain ports on the sleeve are sealed by two sets of O-rings
  • During downhole operation, the drain sleeve and drain nut are fixed by two bolts so that the sleeve cannot loosen
  • After the tool is lifted to surface, a special drain device is connected to transfer the fluid sample when needed
