MR Packer
High-strength retrievable packer for perforating + acidizing + testing
Description
The MR packer is a large-bore, retrievable, mechanical hookwall packer that seals in both directions. It is used in cased-hole testing, treating, squeezing and cementing operations. Its high strength and high-pressure sealing make it especially suitable for perforating + acidizing + testing operations.

- Thick-wall element mandrel improves pressure-holding capacity and tensile strength
- Double hydraulic hold-down button slip mechanism lets the packer withstand higher negative pressure
Operation
The MR packer is set mechanically. Run the packer below the setting depth, then lift it to the setting depth. Rotate the string to the right and hold right-hand torque, then slack off string weight until the packer sets. Release the torque: setting is complete. Picking up the string unsets the packer.
