TRUST Packer
Large-bore retrievable hookwall packer for testing, treating and squeezing
Description
The TRUST packer is a large-bore, retrievable, mechanical hookwall packer that seals in both directions. It is used in cased-hole testing, treating, squeezing and cementing operations.
Features
- Large-bore design allows large volumes of fluid to be pumped with a small pressure drop
- Built-in hydraulic hold-down mechanism prevents the packer from moving up when pressure below the packer is high, such as during acidizing and squeezing
- For testing only, the hydraulic hold-down can be replaced with a testing adapter
Operation
The TRUST packer is set mechanically. Run the packer below the setting depth, then lift it to the setting depth. Rotate the string to the right and hold right-hand torque, then slack off string weight until the packer sets. Release the torque: setting is complete. Picking up the string unsets the packer.
